In October we spend a total of $1,807.18 including $888.07 for our living expenses and $919.11 for our minimum mortgage payment. Our monthly budget for our living expenses was $1,340 without the mortgage. We revised it in October and set it at $1,064.

$1,807.18 doesn’t include what we paid as additional principal to our mortgage.

We live on one income and use the other income to pay our mortgage and invest in our business if needed. Due to a scam we recently got ourselves into $15,000 credit card debts. We decided to include the payment under the income that pays our living expenses and continue to pay our mortgage with one full income. For the month of October our expenses are as follow:

Living Expenses: $888.07

Cable and internet: $180.32

Phone (3 cell phones plan at Verizon): $108.84

Trash: $19

Gas-Utilities: $23.33

Electricity and Water: $148.58

Car-Gas: $55

Bus Ticket: $58

Food, Meat, and Fruit: $175

Donation: $60

Allowances: $60

For food we usually take $375

We have a $200 gift card and only took $175 out for groceries instead of $375. I put $125 from the grocery budget in another envelop and put it away as a saving since we temporary stopped saving for irregular expenses every month to be able to pay the credit card debts. That left me with $250 to spend on October groceries. We spent $224.54 in groceries. You can read more on our groceries costs for the month of October here.
